सा.का.जन. 869(अ).—केन्द्रीय सरकार, जसक्का-जनमािण अजधजनयम, 2011 (2011 का 11) की धारा 24 की
उपधारा (2) के खंड (घ) और खंड (ङ) द्वारा प्रित्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, जनम्नजलजखत जनयम बनाती है, अथाित्:-
1. संजिप्त नाम और प्रारम्भ.- (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम जसक्का-जनमािण (श्री अरजिन्द्ि की 150 िीं ियंती के अिसर
पर स्ट्मारक जसक् का िारी करना) जनयम, 2022 है।
(2) ये रािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रिृत्त होंगे।
2. जसक् के का मूल्यिगि.- “श्री अरजिन्द्ि की 150 िीं ियंती" के अिसर पर केंरीय सरकार के प्राजधकार के अधीन िारी
करने के जलए टकसाल में केिल एक सौ पचास रुपये मूल्य िगि का जसक्का ढाला िाएगा ।
3. जसक् के की जिमा और संरचना.- जनयम 2 में उजल्लजखत उपरोि मूल्य िगि का जसक्का, जनम्नजलजखत जिमाओं और संरचना
के अनुरूप होगा, अथाित् :-

4. जडज़ाइन.- जसक् के का जडज़ाइन िह होगा िो इन जनयमों की पहली अनुसूची में यथा जिजनर्ििष्ट है।
5. मानक ििन और अनुज्ञात उपचार .- श्री अरजिन्द्ि की 150 िीं ियंती के अिसर पर स्ट्मरणोत्सि मनाने के जलए उपरोि
मूल्यिगि के ढाले गए जसक्के का मानक ििन और ऐसे जसक् के को बनाने में अनुज्ञात उपचार िह होगा िो इन जनयमों की
िूसरी अनुसूची में यथा जिजनर्ििष्ट है।

अग्र भाग:
जसक् के के मुख भाग पर मध्य में अिोक स्ट्तम्भ का ससंह स्ट्तम्भ िीर्ि होगा, जिसके नीचे “सत्यमेि ियते” लेख उत्कीर्णित
होगा, उसकी बाईं पररजध पर िेिनागरी जलजप में “भारत” िब्ि और िाईं पररजध पर अंग्रेिी में “INDIA” िब्ि होगा। ससंह
स्ट्तम्भ िीर्ि के नीचे रुपये का प्रतीक “₹” और अंतरािष्ट्रीय अंकों में मूल्यिगि “150” भी होगा ।
पृष्ट भाग:
जसक् के के इस भाग के मध्य में श्री अरजिन्द्ि का जचत्र होगा। जसक् के के उपरी पररजध पर िेिनागरी जलजप में “श्री अरजिन्द्ि की
150 िीं ियंती” जलखा होगा और जसक्के की जनचली पररजध पर अंग्रेिी में “150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF
SHRI AUROBINDO” िर्णित होगा। श्री अरजिन्द्ि के जचत्र के बाईं ओर अन्द्तराष्ट्रीय अंको में िर्ि “1872” और िाईं ओर
िर्ि “1950” जलखा होगा । जचत्र के नीचे अंतरािष्ट्रीय अंको में िर्ि ‘2022’ जलखा होगा.

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 9th December, 2022
G.S.R. 869(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24
of the Coinage Act, 2011(11 of 2011), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules, namely: -
1. Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of commemorative coin on the
occasion of 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI AUROBINDO) Rules, 2022.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. Denomination of coin.- The coin of One Hundred Fifty Rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for
issue under the authority of the Central Government on the occasion of “150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI
AUROBINDO”.
3. Dimension and composition of coin.- The coin of the above denomination mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to
the following dimensions and composition, namely:-

4. Design.- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule of these rules.
5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coin of above denomination coined to
commemorate the occasion of 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF SRI AUROBINDO and the remedy allowed in
making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule to these rules.
First Schedule

ONE HUNDRED FIFTY RUPEES
OBVERSE:
This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते”
inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagri script and on the right periphery
with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol “₹`” and denominational value “150” in the
international numerals below the Lion Capitol.
REVERSE:
This face of coin shall bear the portrait of Sri Aurobindo in the centre of the coin. The inscription “श्री अरववन्द की 150
वीीं जयींती" shall be written in Devnagari script on the upper periphery and the inscription “150TH BIRTH
ANNIVERSARY OF SRI AUROBINDO” in English is depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The year
“1872” and “1950” in international numeral shall be written on the left and right side of the portrait of Sri Aurobindo
respectively. The year `2022` in International numeral shall be flanked at the bottom of the portrait.
