का.अ. 6014(ऄ).—केन्द्रीय सरकार, भारत सरकार के पयाावरण, वन और िलवायु पररवतान मंत्रालय की

ऄजधसूचना द्वारा भारत के रािपत्र में प्रकाजित संखयांक का.अ. 652 (ऄ), तारीख 1 फरवरी, 2019 को माईंट हैररट

राष्ट्रीय ईद्यान पाररजस्ट्थजतकी संवेदी जोन (जिसे आसमें आसके पश्चात् ईक्त ऄजधसूचना कहा गया है) ऄजधसूजचत दकया;

और, ऄंडमान और जनकोबार द्वीप समूह के संघ राज्य क्षेत्र प्रिासन ने ऄपने पत्र संखयांक सीडब्लल्यूएलडब्लल्यू/

डब्लल्यूएल/31/38, तारीख 7 ऄप्रैल, 2022 द्वारा केंरीय सरकार से माईंट हैररट राष्ट्रीय ईद्यान पाररजस्ट्थजतकी संवेदी जोन

में संिोधन के जलए ऄनुरोध दकया है, जिसमें 'माईंट हैररट राष्ट्रीय ईद्यान' को 'मजणपुर पवात राष्ट्रीय ईद्यान' के रूप में नाम

बदला िाए;

और, केंरीय सरकार ने ऄंडमान और जनकोबार द्वीप समूह के संघ राज्य क्षेत्र प्रिासन से िांच के जलए ऄनुरोध

दकया है;

ऄतः, केन्द्रीय सरकार, पयाावरण (संरक्षण) जनयम, 1986 के जनयम 5 के ईपजनयम (4) के साथ परित पयाावरण

(संरक्षण) ऄजधजनयम, 1986 (1986 का 29) की धारा 3 की ईपधारा (1) और ईपधारा (2) के खंड (v) तथा खंड (xiv)

एवं ईपधारा (3), के द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, ईक्त ऄजधसूचना में जनम्नजलजखत संिोधन करती है,

MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd December, 2022

S.O. 6014(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment,

Forest and Climate Change published in the Gazette of India vide number S.O.652 (E), dated the 1st February, 2019,

the Central Government notified the Mount Harriet National Park Eco-sensitive Zone (hereinafter referred to as the

said notification);

AND WHEREAS, the Union territory Administration of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, vide its letter

number CWLW/WL/31/38, dated the 7th April, 2022 has requested the Central Government for amendment in the

Eco-sensitive Zone of Mount Harriet National Park pursuant to renaming of „Mount Harriet National Park‟ as

„Manipur Parvat National Park‟;

AND WHEREAS, the Central Government have examined the request of the Union territory Administration

of Andaman and Nicobar Islands;

NOW THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section(1) and clause (v) and (xiv) of sub-

section (2) and sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with sub-rule

(4) of rule 5 of the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, the Central Government hereby makes the following

amendment in the said notification, namely:—

In the said notification, for the words “Mount Harriet”, wherever they occur, the words “Manipur Parvat”

shall be respectively substituted.
