का.आ. 5329(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार का यह समाधान हो जाने पर दक लोकजहत में ऐसा करना अपेजित है दक

बैंककारी उद्योग में लगी हुई सेवाएं, जो औद्योजगक जववाद अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की पहली अनुसूची की

मद 2 के अधीन आती हैं, उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों के जलए लोक उपयोगी सेवा है;

और, केन्द्द्रीय सरकार ने भारत सरकार के श्रम और रोजगार मंत्रालय में भारत के राजपत्र, असाधारण, भाग II,

खंड 3, उपखण्ड (ii) में प्रकाजित अजधसूचना संखयांक का.आ. 2432(अ), तारीख 5 जून, 2023 द्वारा अंजतम रूप से,

तारीख 15 जून, 2023 से छह मास तक की अवजध के जलए उक्त उद्योग को उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों के जलए, लोक

उपयोगी सेवा घोजित दकया था;

और केंद्रीय सरकार की यह राय है दक लोकजहत में छह मास की और अवजध के जलए उक्त उद्योग की लोक

उपयोजगता सेवा प्राजस्ट्थजत का जवस्ट्तार करने की अपेिा करता है;

अत:, अब, केंद्रीय सरकार, औद्योजगक जववाद अजधजनयम, 1947 (1947 का 14) की धारा 2 के खंड (ढ) के

उपखंड (vi) के परंतुक द्वारा प्रदत्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग करते हुए, बैंककारी उद्योग में लगी हुई सेवाओं को 15 ददसंबर,

2023 से छह मास की अवजध के जलए उक्त अजधजनयम के प्रयोजनों हेतु लोक उपयोगी सेवा के रूप में घोजित करती है।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 14th December, 2023

S.O. 5329(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that public interest so requires that the services

engaged in the ‘Banking’, which is covered under item 2 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947

(14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act;

And whereas the Central Government had declared the said industry to be public utility service for the

purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from the 15^th June, 2023 vide notification of the

Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment published in the gazette of India, part-II, section 3,

sub-section (ii) vide number S.O. 2432 (E), dated the 5^th June, 2023;

And whereas the Central Government is of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the

public utility service status to the said industry for a further period of six months;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of

section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services

engaged in the Banking industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of

six months with effect from the 15^th December, 2023.
