सा.का.जन. 09(अ).—केंद्रीय सरकार, भारतीय डाकघर अजधजनयम, 1898 (1898 का 6) की धारा 74 के साथ पठित धारा

16 की उप-धारा (3) के खंड (ङ) और धारा 21 द्वारा प्रित्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, भारतीय डाकघर जनयम, 1933 का और

संिोधन करने के जलए जनम्नजलजखत जनयम बनाती है, अथाात् :-

1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप्त नाम भारतीय डाकघर (संिोधन) जनयम, 2024 है।

(2) ये जनयम, रािपत्र में इनके प्रकािन की तारीख से प्रिृत्त होंगे।

2. भारतीय डाकघर जनयम, 1933 (जिसे इसमें इसके पश्चात् उि जनयम कहा गया है), जनयम 42 के उप-जनयम (5) का लोप दकया

िाएगा।

3. उि जनयमों के जनयम 43 क के उप-जनयम (4) का लोप दकया िाएगा।

4. उि जनयमों के जनयम 194 ख के उप-जनयम (2) का लोप दकया िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 3rd January, 2024

G.S.R. 09(E). —In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (e) of sub-section (3) of Section 16

and Section 21, read with section 74 of the Indian Post Office Act, 1898 (6 of 1898), the Central

Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933,

namely: -

1. (1) These rules may be called the Indian Post Office (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2.

In the Indian Post Office Rules, 1933, (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule 42, sub-rule

(5) shall be omitted.

3.

In rule 43 A of the said rules, sub-rule (4) shall be omitted.

4.

In rule 194 B of the said rules, sub-rule (2) shall be omitted.

Note. - The principal rules as amended up to the 1st January, 1975 were published in the Posts and

Telegraphs Manual Volume - I, Legislative Enactments, Part I, Fifth Edition and lastly amended
