सा.का.जन. 756(अ).— केन्‍द रीय सरकार, रेल अजधजनयम, 1989 (1989 का 24) की धारा 198 के साथ पठित,

धारा 4ख द्वारा प्रित् त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, स्ट्वतंत्र सिस्ट्य (चयन और जनयुजि) जनयम, 2007 का और संिोधन

करने के जलए जनम् नजलजखत जनयम बनाती है, अथाडत्;-

1. (1) इन जनयमों का संजिप् त नाम स्ट्वतंत्र सिस्ट्य (चयन और जनयुजि) संिोधन जनयम, 2024 है।

(2) ये रािपत्र में उनके प्रकािन की तारीख को प्रवृत् त होंगे।

2. स्ट्वतंत्र सिस्ट्य (चयन और जनयुजि) जनयम, 2007 के, जनयम 4 के उपजनयम (1) के स्ट्थान पर जनम्नजलजखत

उपजनयम रखा िाएगा, अथाडत् :-

“(1) स्ट्वतंत्र सिस्ट्य का चयन एक खोिबीन-सह-चयन सजमजत द्वारा दकया िाएगा, जिसमें जनम्नजलजखत सिस्ट्य

िाजमल होंगे, अथाडत्:-

(क) अध्यि के रूप में अध्यि और मुख्य कायडकारी अजधकारी, रेलवे बोडड;

(ख) सिस्ट्य के रूप में सिस्ट्य (अवसंरचना), रेलवे बोडड तथा पिेन अध्यि, रेल भूजम जवकास प्राजधकरण;

(ग) सिस्ट्य के रूप में महाजनिेिक (मानव संसाधन), रेलवे बोडड;

सेवारत नहीं है, को केंरीय सरकार द्वारा सिस्ट्य के रूप में नामजनर्िडष्ट दकया िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 6th December, 2024

G.S.R. 756(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4B read with section 198 of the Railways

Act, 1989 (24 of 1989), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Independent

Member(Selection and Appointment) rules, 2007, namely:-

1. (1) These rules may be called the Independent Member (Selection and Appointment) Amendment Rules, 2024.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Independent Member (Selection and Appointment) Rules, 2007, in rule 4, for sub-rule (1), the following

sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:-

“(1) The Independent Member shall be selected by a Search-cum-Selection Committee comprising of the following

members, namely:-

(a) Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board as Chairperson;

(b) Member (Infrastructure), Railway Board and ex-officio Chairman, Rail Land Development Authority, as

Member;

(c) Director General (Human Resources), Railway Board as Member;

(d) Vice Chairman of the Authority in attendance; and

(e) A person of eminence and expert in the relevant field, who is not in the service of Indian Railways or its

Public Sector Undertaking, to be nominated by the Central Government, as Member.”
