का.आ. 353(अ).—भारत सरकार ने, पटसन पैकेजिंग सामग्री (पैककंग की वस्ट्तुओं में अजनवायय प्रयोग) अजधजनयम,

1987 (िेपीएम अजधजनयम, 1987)की धारा 4 की उप-धारा (1) तथा पटसन पैकेजिंग सामग्री अजधजनयम, 1987 के तहत

सं. सा.का.जन.(बी) द्वारा िारी जनयमों के जनयम 3(क) के प्रदत्त िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए, जनम्नजलजखत संरचना के अनुसार

स्ट्थायी सलाहकार सजमजत के गठन का जनणय जलया है:-

2. यह स्ट्थायी सलाहकार सजमजत पटसन पैकेजिंग सामग्री अजधजनयम, 1987 के अनुसार पटसन सामग्री में पैकेजिंग के

मानदंडों की जसफाररि करेगी ।

3. उपयुयि गरठत स्ट्थायी सलाहकार सजमजत की वैधता इस संकल्प के भारत के रािपत्र में प्रकािन की तारीख से तीन वषय

की अवजध के जलए होगी ।

S.O. 353(E).— The Government of India, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section

4 of the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987 (JPM Act, 1987) and also under

Rule 3(a) of the Rules issued vide No. G.S.R. (B) under the JPM Act, 1987 have decided to constitute the Standing

Advisory Committee (SAC) as per the following composition:—

i.

Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India

ii.

Secretary, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India or his

Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary

- Member

iii.

Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India or his

Representative not below the rank of Joint Secretary

iv.

Secretary, Department of Expenditure, Government of India or his Representative not

below the rank of Joint Secretary

- Member

v.

Secretary, Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals, Government of India or his

2. The SAC will recommend the norms of packaging in jute materials, as per the JPM Act, 1987.

3. The validity of the aforesaid constituted SAC will be for a period of three years from the date of publication of this

Resolution in the Gazette of India.
