का.आ. 5207(अ).— केंद्रीर् सरकार, पर्ाावरण (संरक्षण) अजधजनर्म, 1986 (1986 का 29) की धारा 3 की

उपधारा (3) द्वारा प्रित्त िजिर्ों का प्रर्ोग करते हुए, भारत सरकार के पर्ाावरण, वन और िलवार्ु पररवतान मंत्रालर् की

अजधसूचना संख्र्ा का.आ. 1202(अ), तारीख 13 माचा, 2025 में जनम्नजलजखत संिोधन करती है, अर्ाात्:—

2. उि अजधसूचना में,—

(i) पैरा 1 में, क्रम संख्र्ा (क) और उससे संबंजधत प्रजवजिर्ों के स्ट्र्ान पर जनम्नजलजखत क्रम संख्र्ा और प्रजवजि रखी

िाएगी, अर्ाात्:—

“(क) श्री संिर् कुमार मेहता, भा.व.से.(सेवाजनवृत्त)

292- एप्पलवुड्स जवलास, िेला, अहमिाबाि, गुिरात–380058 — अध्र्क्ष।”

(ii) पैरा 2 के पश्चात्, जनम्नजलजखत पैरा अंतःस्ट्र्ाजपत दकर्ा िाएगा, अर्ाात्:—

“2क. अध्र्क्ष के रूप में श्री संिर् कुमार मेहता का कार्ाकाल प्राजधकरण के अन्र् सिस्ट्र् के कार्ाकाल के सार् सह-समाप्त

होगा।”

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 22nd September, 2026

S.O. 5207(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 3 of the Environment

(Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the

notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, vide number

S.O. 1202(E), dated the 13^th March 2025, namely: —

2. In the said notification, −

(i) in paragraph 1, for serial number (a) and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and

entries shall be substituted, namely: —

“(a). Shri Sanjay Kumar Mehta, IFS(Retd.)

292-Applewoods Villas, Shela, Ahmedabad, Gujarat-380058 —

Chairman;”

(ii) after paragraph 2, the following paragraph shall be inserted, namely: —

“2A. The tenure of Shri Sanjay Kumar Mehta as Chairman shall be co-terminus with the tenure of the other Members

of the Authority.”
