का.आ. 5303(अ).— िबदक, केन्द्र सरकार ने भारतीय पत्तन अजधजनयम, 2025 (2025 का 27) की धारा 73

की उपधारा (1) के अंतगगत दकसी पत्तन को मेगा पत्तन के रूप में वगीकृत करने संबंधी मानिंड अजधसूजचत दकए हैं; और

िबदक, िीनियाल (कांडला), िवाहरलाल नेहरू (न्द्हावा िेवा), पारािीप महापत्तन और म ंरा पत्तन उक्त मानिंडों को पूरा

करते हैं।

अतः अब, केन्द्र सरकार, उक्त अजधजनयम की धारा 73 की उपधारा (2) और (3) द्वारा प्रित्त िजक्तयों का प्रयोग

करते हुए, एतद्द्वारा िीनियाल (कांडला), िवाहरलाल नेहरू (नहावा िेवा), पारािीप महापत्तनों और म ंरा पत्तन को मेगा

पत्तन के रूप में अजधसूजचत करती है।

3.

यह रािपत्र में इसकी प्रकािन की तारीख को लागू होगा।

MINISTRY OF PORTS, SHIPPING AND WATERWAYS

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 25th September, 2026

S.O. 5303(E).— Whereas, the Central Government, under sub-section (1) of section 73 of the Indian Ports

Act, 2025 (27 of 2025), notified the criteria for classification of a port as mega port; and whereas, the major ports of

Deendayal (Kandla), Jawaharlal Nehru (Nhava Sheva), Paradip, and Mundra Port, a port other than the major

ports, satisfy the said criteria.

2. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of section 73 of the said Act,

the Central Government hereby notifies the major ports of Deendayal (Kandla), Jawaharlal Nehru (Nhava Sheva),

Paradip, and Mundra Port as mega ports.

3. It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the official Gazette.
