2. FUNCTIONS

"flic Samiti shaJl advise the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and

us Suboidinate offices/organizations on matters retating to

the progressive use of Hindi for official purposes apd OIT

matters ancillary nnd incidental to the above.

3. TENURE :

The tenure of the members of the Samiti shall ordinarily

be three years fforn the date of Its constitution, provided that :

(i) Member nominated from

Lok Sabha

and

Rajyu

Sabha shall cease to be the members of the Samiti as

soon as they cease to be <ho Members of Parlia-

ment,

di) The ex-oftlcio members of the Committee

shall

continue so long as

they hold office by virtue of

which they are members of the Committee and

fiii) If a vacancy arises in the Stuniti due to resignafion,

death etc. of a member, the member appointed in

that vacancy shall hold pfRce for the residual of the

tenure of tjvec year*.

4. GENERAL

(i) The Head Quartan of the Committee shall be at

New Delhi,

(ii) ITIL' non-official members will be paid travelling anil

daily allowance for attending the meetings as p^r the

Depaitment of Official Language O.M. No. 11/

20034/4/86-O.L.(A-2) dated 22-1-1987 and at the

rates fixed by the Government of India and mles
