(II) FUNCTIONS

The functions of this samiti will be to render

advico to the Ministry of Mines and its organisations/

undertakings in regard to the implementation of the

various provisions relating to official Language,

contained in ths Constitution, Official Langurgo Act

Rules, decisions of the Kendriya Hindi Samiti and

the instructions issued by the Ministry of Home

Affairs (Department of Official Language) in this

regard.

(Ill) TENURE

The term of the samiti will be ordinarily three

years from the date of its constitution provided that;-

(a) Members of Parliament who tire the members

of Committee shall cease to be members as

soon as. they cease to be Members of Parli-

menl.

(b) Ex-officio member of the samiti shall continue

as members as long as they hold office by

virtue of which they are member of the samiti

•

gnation or death of member etc. the member

appointed in that capacity shall hold office

for the residual term.

(IV) GENFRAI

(n) The licail-quariers of ihc sumili shall be at

New Delhi, but it may hold its meetings at any

other station also.

(b) The non-official member shall be paid travell-

ing and daily allowances for attending the

meeting of the committee as per the guidelines

contained in the Department of Official Lan-

guage O.M. No. 11/20034/4/86-OL(A-2) dated

22-1-87 and. rules ajad rates amended by the

O«vt. of India from ti-metotime.
