O. N. 9.1.—Whereas, ihc Election Commission is fhus satisfied thai

stpecified in column (3) against his name has failed to lodge an account of his election expenses as required by the

Representation of the People Act, 1951 and Rules and Orders made thereunder as shown in column (5) of the

Whereas, the said candidates have not furnished any reason or explanation for the said failure even after

'due notice and the Election Commission is thus satisfied that they have no good reason Or justification for the said

failure :

Now, therefore, in pursuance of Section 10A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the Election

Commission hereby declares the said persons specified in column (4) of the Table below to be disqualified for

I being chosen as, and for being a member of either House of the Parliament or of the Legislative Assembly or

l Legislative Council of a State for a period of three years from the date of this order.

O.N. 95.—In exercise of the power conferred

by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representa-

tion of the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950) the Elec-

tion Commission of India in consultation with Gov-

ernment of Rajasthan hereby nominates Shri L.P.

Kothari, IAS (RR-1977), as the Chief Electoral Offi-

cer for the State of Rajasthan with effect from the

date he takes over charge and until further orders

vice Shri Surendra Kumar, IAS.

2. Shri L.P. Kothaii shall ceaso to hold and hand

over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of

work under the Government of Rajasthan, which

he may bo holding before such assumption of office.

3, Shri L.P. Kothaii while functioning as the Chief-

Electoral Officer, Rajasthan

shall not hold any

additional charge whatsoever under the Government

of Rajasthan except that he should be designated

Secretary to the Government in charge of Election

Department in the State Secretariat.
