NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 27th September 2001.

S.O.957(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by sub-section (2) of Section 1 of the Narcotic Drugs and

Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act, 2001 (9 of

2001), the Central Government hereby appoints the

2nd day of October, 2001 as the date on which the said

Act shall come into force in the whole of India.
