New Delhi, the 28th September, 2001

S. 0.972(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred

by sub-section (3) of Section 3 of the Environment (Protec-

tion) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), the Central Government hereby

makes the following amendment in the notification of the

Government of India in the Ministry of Environment and

Forests, number S. 0. 621(E) dated 2nd August, 1999,

namely:—

In the said notification, in paragraph 1, for the words

"for a period of four years", the words "for a period of four

and half years" shall be substituted.

Note :—The principal notification was published in the
