(1) of Section 19 of the State Bank of India Act, 1955 (Act

No. F PER:IRD:4410:2001—In exercise of the powers

conferred by section 19 read with sub-section (2) of Section

12, of the Banking Companies (Acquisition and Transfer of

Undertakings) Act, 1980 (40 of 1980) the Board of Directors

of Vijaya Bank, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India

and with the previous sanction for the Central Government,

hereby makes the following regulations, namely:-

1.(1) These Regulations may be called Vijaya Bank

Officer Employees' (Discipline and Appeal)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2001,

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their

publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Vijaya Bank Officer Employees' (Discipline and

Appeal) Regulations, 1981 (hereinafter referred to as the said

regulation), in regulation 6.

(i) For sub-regulation (3), the following sub-regulation

shall be substituted, namely :-

"(3) Where it is proposed to hold an inquiry, the

Disciplinary Authority shall, frame definite and distinct

charges on the basis of the allegations against the officer

employee and Die articles of charge, together with a statement

of the allegations, list of documents relied on along with copy

of such documents and list of witnesses alongwith copy of

statement of witnesses, if any, on which they are based, shall

be communicated in writing to the officer employee, who

shall be required to submit, within such time as may be

specified by the Disciplinary Authority (not exceeding 15

days), or within such extended time as may be granted by the

said Authority, a written statement of his defence",

"Provided that wherever it is not possible to furnish the

copies of documents, disciplinary authority shall allow the

officer employee inspection of such documents within a time

specified in this behalf."

(ii) for sub-regulation (10), the following shall be

substituted, namely;-

"(10) The Inquiring Authority while adjourning the

case as in sub-regulation (9), shall also record by an

order that the officer employee may for the purpose of

preparing defence—-

"(i) complete inspection of the documents as in the list

furnished to him immediately and in any case not

exceeding 5 days from the date of such order if he had

not done so earlier as provided for in the proviso to

sub-regulation (3);

(ii) submit a list of documents and witnesses, that he

wants for the inquiry;

(iii) give notice within ten days of the order or within

such further time not exceeding ten days as the Inquiring

Authority may allow for the discovery or production

of the documents referred to in item (ii)."

Note : The relevancy of the documents

and the

examination of the witnesses referred to in item (ii) shall be

given by the officer employee concerned,

public notice relating to revision of Toll Tax on animals and

vehicles entering within the limits of Khas Yol Cantonment

was published as required under Section 61 of the Cantonment

Act, 1924 (2 of 1924) under the Cantonment Board Khas Yol

notice number. KY/B/6-G/25 dated 8th June, 2001 for inviting

objections and suggestions from all persons likely to be

affected thereby, till the expiry of a period of thirty days from

the date of publication of the said notice;

AND WHEREAS, no objection and suggestion have been

received by the aforesaid Cantonment Board within a period

specified in the notice;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred

by Section 60 of the Cantonment Act, 1924 (2 of 1924) the

Cantonment Board Khas Yol with the previous sanction of

the central Government hereby makes the revision of rates of

toll tax payable by the owners of the vehicles on entry of

vehicles within the limit of Khas Yol Cantonment, and amends

as follows the schedule to the notification of the Govt. of

India, Ministry of Defence, number SRO. KY/B/6-G dated

29th October, 1977, published in the Gazette of India Part-

Ill Section 4, namely :—
