exercise of the powers con-

ferred by sub-section (I) of Section 22 of the Repre-

sentation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), the

Election Commission of India in consultation with

the Government of Punjab hereby makes ihc follow-

ing further amendments in its notification No.434/

PB"HP/98(2), dated 12th January. 1998, namely ;—

For the Existing entry "Regional Deputy Direc-

tor Local Government, Amritsar" appearing

in column 2 of the table appended to the said

notification against the entry "2. Returning

Officer

for 2-Amritsar Parliamentary Consti-

tuency" in cohimon 1 thereof, the words,"De-

puty Director, Urban Local Bodies, Amritsar"¹

shall be substituted; and

2.

For the existing entry "Joint Commissioner,

Municipal Corporation,

Amritsar" appearing

in column 2 of the table appended to the said

notification against the entry "2. Returning

Office for 2-Amritiar

Parliamentary Consti-

tuency" in column 1 thereof, the words, "Addi-

tional Commissioner, Municipal

Corporation,

Amritsar" shall be substituted.
