ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

New Delhi, the 23rd March, 2005

0. N. 24.—In exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (1) of Section 13A of the Representation of the

People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Haryana hereby

nominates Shri Manik B. Sonawane, IAS (HY : 1977) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Haryana with effect from

the date he takes over charge and until further orders vice Snit. Urvashi Gulati, IAS.

Shri Sonawane shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the

Government of Haryana, which he may be holding before such assumption of office.

Shri Sonawane while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana shall not hold any additional charge

whatsoever under the Government of Haryana except that he should be designated Secretary to the Government in charge

of Election Department in the State Secretariat.

nominates Smt. Nalini Netto, IAS (KL : 1981) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Kerala with effect from the date she

takes over charge and until further orders vice Shri P. J. Thomas, IAS.

Smt. Netto shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the

Government of Kerala, which she may be holding before such assumption of office.

Smt. Netto while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala shall not hold any additional charge whatsoever

under the Government of Kerala except that she should be designated Secretary to the Government in charge of Election

Department in the State Secretariat.
