5. TENURE OF MEMBERS

The term of the Copyright Enforcement Advisory Council

will be three years. The tenure of the members of the

council, other than ex-officio members, will be three years

unless a shorter or longer term is indicated. Where a member

of the Council becomes a member by reason of the office

or appointment he holds, his membership of the Council

will terminate when he ceases to hold that office on

appointment.

6. MEETINGS AND SUB-COMMITTEES

The Council will meet at least once every six months.

The Council may set up Committees/Panels for specific

purposes which may meet as frequently as required.

II. Function

The Samiti will advise the Ministry of Water Resources

on matters relating to progressive use of Hindi for official

purpose and allied issues.

III. Tenure

The term of the Samiti will be three years from the date

of its constitution provided that :

(a) A Member, who is a Member of Parliament, ceases to

be a Member of the Samiti as soon as he ceases to be

a Member of Parliament.

(b) Ex-Officio Members of the Samiti shall continue as

members as long as they hold the office by virtue of

which they are members of the Samiti; and

resignation of a member, the member appointed that

capacity shall hold office for the residual term.

IV.

General

The Headquarter of the Samiti shall be at New Delhi but

it may hold its meeting at any other station also.

Travelling and Other Allowances

The Non-Official Members will be paid travelling and

daily allowances for attending the meeting of the Samiti as

per the guidelines of Department of Official Language

contained in the office Memorandum No. 11/20034/4/86-0L

(A-2) dated 22nd January, 1987 and in accordance with the

prescribed rate and rules as amended from time to time by

Government of India.

Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be communicated

to all the members of the Samiti, all State Governments and

Union Territory Administrations, President’s Secretariat,

Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of

Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Rajya Sabha
