CORRIGENDUM
No. —/A-32013/DG/2014/19A—In compliance with the Ministry of Mines Memorandum No. 1/7/2013-M.II dated
22.07.2014, Shri Harbans Singh had submitted copy of the taking over charge to the post of the Director General, GSI on
Direct Recruitment basis w.e.f. 22.07.2014 (AN) after tendering his ‘Technical Resignation’ from the post of Additional
Director General (Geology) in GSI and accordingly a Notification was issued vide No. 4586SP-4588SP & 3982A-3991A/A-
32013/ DG/ 2014/19A dated 25.07.2014.
2. Further, Ministry of Mines vide their letters No. 1/7/2013-M.II dated 30.07.2014 and 31.07.2014 conveyed that
the Competent Authority has considered and pleased to accept the ‘Technical Resignation’ tendered by Shri Harbans Singh
and the effective date of acceptance of his ‘Technical Resignation’ is to be treated from the date he takes over the charge of
the Director General, GSI i.e. from 31.07.2014 (AN).
3. Under this circumstances, on being directed Shri Harbans Singh has taken over charge of the post of Director
General, GSI w.e.f. the Afternoon of 31.07.2014 after relieving Dr. S.K. Wadhawan, Addl. Director General holding
additional charge of Director General, GSI.
4. In compliance with the Ministry of Mines letters cited above and in partial modification to this Office Notification
No. 4586SP-4588SP & 3982A-3991A /A-32013/ DG/ 2014/19A dated 25.07.2014, the date of joining of Shri Harbans Singh
to the post of Director General in Geological Survey of India on Direct Recruitment basis may be read as ‘31.07.2014 (AN)’
instead of ‘22.07.2014 (AN)’ until further orders.
All other terms and condition will remain unaltered.
