ORDER

No. 7(12)/2015/Vig./9837—WHEREAS Shri Brajesh Kumar Sharma, Driver (OG), NG/106/1307, Transport

Section, PD, BARC is absenting unauthorisedly from duties w.e.f. 09/08/2014 and has also left his Head quarters without the

prior approval of the Competent Authority.

2. AND WHEREAS the said Shri Sharma was issued a Memorandum dtd 8/10/2014 by Assistant Personnel Officer,

Transport section directing him to report for duty immediately. The Envelope sent to his local address was received back

from Postal Authorities with remarks ‘Unclaimed’. The envelope sent to his permanent address was neither acknowledged

nor received back.

3. AND WHEREAS an e-mail was sent to the said Shri Sharma by Assistant Personnel Officer, Transport section on

25/11/2014 asking him to join duty immediately and also to acknowledge the memorandum dtd 8/10/2014. The said

Shri Sharma responded vide e-mail dtd 1/12/2014 stating that due to personal problems he is not in a position to resume

duty and requested for some more time. However the said Shri Sharma did not submit any leave application or request for

leave indicating the period of leave required by him and continued to remain absent.

4. AND WHEREAS the said Shri Sharma was issued a Memorandum dtd 12/12/2014 by Dy. Establishment Officer,

Transport & Catering Services warning him of termination of services in terms of clause ‘a’ of the offer of appointment dtd

20/12/2013. The said Memorandum sent through speed post was delivered to him at his permanent address on 16/12/2014.

5. AND WHEREAS the said Shri Sharma was issued a Memorandum dtd 6/1/2015 from Dy. Establishment Officer,

Estt.VI at both his local and permanent address directing him to report for duty immediately failing which action as deemed

fit will be taken against him. The said memorandum has been delivered to him at his Home Town address.

6. AND WHEREAS the Probationary period of said Shri Sharma was extended for a period of six months from 27/1/2015

vide Memorandum No. S-34/Estt.VI/OPA/2015/17648 dtd 4/2/2015. The Memorandum sent to his permanent address was

acknowledged.

7. AND WHEREAS a Showcause Memorandum dtd 25/6/2015 was issued to the said Shri Sharma from Dy.

Establishment Officer, Vigilance Section warning him of termination of his service under clause ‘a’ of the offer of

appointment. The said Memorandum was acknowledged by him on 2/7/2015 at his permanent address.

8. AND WHEREAS the said Shri Sharma has acknowledged the communications sent from this Research Centre as

above but failed to respond to them and continues to remain absent.

9. AND WHEREAS the Competent Authority has again extended the probationary period of the said Shri Sharma for a

further period 6 months from 27/7/2015 . This has been sent to both his local and permanent addresses.

10. AND WHEREAS it is apparent that the said Shri Sharma is least interested in continuing in service inspite of

sending various communications to him advising him to join duty.

11. NOW, THEREFORE, the services of Shri Brajesh Kumar Sharma, Driver (OG), Transport Section/Personnel Division

(Employee No. 28007, C.C. No. NG/106/1307) stands terminated with immediate effect in terms of clause ‘a’ of the offer of

appointment No. PD/2(1)/2010-R-III (Vol.IV)/2013/14796 dtd December 20, 2013.
