New Delhi, the 6th April, 2016

O.N. 21.—Whereas, the Election Commission is satisfied that Sh.Bhogendra Prasad Paswan, Vill-Jarail,

Post-Parsauna, Yhnana-Arer, Block-Benipatti, Dist-Madhubani, Bihar, a contesting candidate at the 37-Rajnagar

(SC) Bye election to Legislative Assembly, 2014 from the state of Bihar has failed to lodge any account of his election

expenses at all or in the manner as required by the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and the rules made there-

under.

And whereas, the said candidate has either not furnished any reason or explanation for the said failure even

after due notice of the Election Commission.

And whereas The Election Commission is satisfied that the said candidate has no good reason or justification

for the said failure;

Now, therefore in pursuance of Section 10A of the said Act, the Election Commission hereby declares

Sh.Bhogendra Prasad Paswan to be disqualified for being chosen as, and for being a member of either House of the

Parliament or of the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council of a State/Union Territory for a period of three years

from the date of this order.

O.N. 22 .—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representation of the

People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Administration of Andaman

and Nicobar Islands hereby nominates Shri Arun Baroka, IAS (AGMU:1990) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the

Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands with effect from the date he takes over charge and until further orders.

Shri Arun Baroka shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the

Administration of Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which he may be holding before such assumption

of office.

Shri Arun Baroka while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Andaman and Nicobar Islands shall not hold

any additional charge whatsoever under the Administraton of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar Islands

except that he should be designated Secretary to the Administration of the Union Territory of Andaman and Nicobar

Islands in charge of Election Department in the Union Territory Secretariat.
