No. 1/NSC-2014 (Vol III)—In pursuance of the Government of India Resolution No. A-11011/1/2005-Ad.I dated

01.06.2005 published as Notification No. 85 dated 1st June 2005 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-III, Section-4,

Dr. Radha Binod Barman, Former Executive Director, Reserve Bank of India is appointed as part-time Chairperson of the

National Statistical Commission, w.e.f. 4^th May 2016 for a period of three years or till he attains the age of seventy years,

whichever is earlier.

2. The appointment, tenure and service conditions of the Chairperson shall further be governed by Government of

India Notification No. A-11011/1/2005-Ad-I (Vol. IV) dated 8th May 2006 Published as Notification No. 465 dated 10^th May

2006 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part-II, Section-3, Sub-Section-(ii). The Chairperson of the Commission will

have the status of a Minister of State in the Government of India.
