of the National Cyber Security Coordinator, the President is pleased to convey the functions of the National Cyber Security

Coordinator as under :

To advise NSCS in coordination, overseeing and in compliance of cyber security policies;

Consult and coordinate with CERT-In, NTRO and Ministry of Defence under a common forum;

iii.

Advise and ensure implementation of Actions Plans for cyber security by nodal agencies in their areas of

responsibility in a time bound manner;

iv.

Evaluation and analysis of progress reports/incidents reports received from nodal agencies;

Forming Incident Response Monitoring Teams which, if required, would have the authority to embed

themselves as observers;

vi.

Training and technical upgradation of skill sets of personnel in NSCS Cyber Wing;

vii.

Consult and monitor implementation of plans pertaining to capability and capacity building in the field of

cyber security;

viii. Suggest positions in international forums on issues relating to internet governance and cyber security;

ix.

Evaluate existing policies from the perspective of cyber security to suggest changes that may be required.

Provide advice and assistance for the effective implementation of the Information Technology Act as well as

any other legislation involving matters related to cyber security;

Provide consultation and guidance to State Governments as may be required for implementation of measures

for cyber security in the country and any assistance desired by them in establishing their own cyber security

architecture;

xi.

Engaging with private industry for formation of policies that will govern the scope of public private

partnership in the field of cyber security in the country.
