सम- व%व व&यालय, कोयबटूर को @दान "कये गये समवत व%व व&यालय दजN क8 समीा संबंधी परामशO पर वचार "कया और उसे अनुमोदत कर

दया है तथा आयोग अमृता व%व व&यापीठ को @दान "कए गए समवत व%व व&यालय के दजN को जार रखने के लए मानव संसाधन वकास मंालय

को सफाQरश करता है। बशतN "क यह पांच वष< के बाद समीा के अ=यधीन होगा। आयोग ने आगे यह भी /नणOय लया "क QरपोटO क8 एक @/त समवत

व%व व&यालय को इस /नदNश के साथ भेज द जाए "क व%व व&यालय कमय4/सुझाव4 का अनुपालन करे और आयोग को तीन महने क8 अव7ध के

भीतर अनुपालन QरपोटO @2तुत करे।”

Extension of operation of residuary provisions of Yarn, Fabrics & Made-ups Export Entitlement (Quota) Policies

with effect from 1^st January, 2017.

No.1/61/2004-Exports-I (2) – The Government, vide Notification No.1/61/2004-Exports-I dated 9^th November,

2004, decided to enforce operation of the residuary provisions of Yarn, Fabrics & Made-ups Export Entitlement (Quota)

Policy initially for one year with effect from 1^st January, 2005, and extended from time to time. These provisions have since

been extended upto 31^st December, 2016.

2. The Government hereby decides to extend the operation of the residuary provisions of Yarn, Fabrics & Made-ups

Export Entitlement (Quota) Policy for a further one year with effect from 1^st January, 2017.

3. All other terms and conditions of the Notification dated 9^th November, 2004 mentioned in Para 1 remain

unchanged.

Subject : Setting up of Krishi Kalyan Kosh (KKK)

No. 3/1/2016-SP—The Government of India has imposed Krishi Kalyan Cess (KKC) vide Section 161 under

Chapter VI of the Finance Act, 2016 (Notification No. 32 dated 14.05.2016) with effect from June 01, 2016 and vide Section

184 of the Income Declaration Scheme, 2016.

2. Krishi Kalyan Cess is leviable on all taxable services, other than services which are fully exempt from Service

Tax or service which are otherwise not liable to Service Tax under Section 66B of the Finance Act, 1994, at the rate of 0.5%.

In addition to this, 25% surcharge on tax payable under Income Declaration Scheme, 2016 will also be levied as Krishi

Kalyan Cess.

3. A dedicated fund is constituted with the nomenclature ‘Krishi Kalyan Kosh’ under the new head 8235-General

and other Reserve Funds for crediting the proceeds of Krishi Kalyan Cess.

4. The funds accruing into Krishi Kalyan Kosh (KKK) will be utilized as per guidelines of Krishi Kalyan Kosh (to

be issued by the Department).

5. The accounting procedure for transferring the proceeds of Cess into the Krishi Kalyan Kosh will be formulated by

the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare in consultation with Controller General of Accounts and the Ministry of

Finance.

6. The expenditure from Krishi Kalyan Kosh will be monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.

The accounts of KKK shall be subject to internal and statutory audits.

7. The Krishi Kalyan Kosh is constituted with effect from the publication of this Notification in the Gazette of India.

brought under ambit of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, by the Central Government vide several notifications subject to

conditions that all the terms & conditions of conferment of Deemed to be University status to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

shall remain unchanged:

4. And whereas, as per the provisions of the Ministry’s Notification dated 13.01.2003, an Expert Committee was

constituted by the UGC to review the functioning of the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore.

5. And whereas, the report of the UGC Expert Committee was placed below the Commission wherein the

Commission resolved as under:

“The Commission considered the report of the UGC Expert Committee constituted by the Chairman, UGC, AICTE

Expert Committee and its advice on the review of the Deemed to be University status conferred on Amrita Vishwa

Vidyapeetham, Deemed University, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and approved the same and agreed to recommend to the

Ministry of Human Resource Development for continuation of Deemed to be University status to the Amrita Vishwa

Vidyapeetham subject to review after five years. The Commission, further decided that a copy of the Report may be sent to

Deemed to be University with a direction to comply with deficiencies/suggestions and send a compliance Report to the

Commission within a period of three months”.

6. Now, therefore, the Central Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 and on the advice of

the UGC, do hereby accord approval to the continuance of ‘Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’ Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu as a

deemed to be university for a another period of five years i.e. from 13.01.2008 in terms of this Ministry’s Notification No.

F.9-25/2000-U.3 dated the 13^th January, 2003.
