SECRETARIAT OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA

New Delhi, the 14th September, 2017

O.N. 58.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representation of the

People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Uttarakhand

hereby nominates Smt. Sowjanya, IAS, (UKD:2003) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Uttarakhand with

effect from the date she takes over charge and until further orders vice Dr. Umakant Panwar, IAS.

Smt. Sowjanya, shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under the

Government of Uttarakhand, which she may be holding before such assumption of office.

Smt. Sowjanya, while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand shall not hold any additional

charge whatsoever under the Government of Uttarakhand except that she should be designated Secretary to the

Government in charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.

hereby nominates Shri Lakku Venkateshwarlu IAS(UP:1991) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Uttar

Pradesh with effect from the date he takes over charge and until further orders vice Shri T. Venkatesh, IAS.

Shri Lakku Venkateshwarlu shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of

work under the Government of Uttar Pradesh, which he may be holding before such assumption of office.

Shri Lakku Venkateshwarlu while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttar Pradesh shall not hold any
