आई.ए.एस. के 'थान पर #ी सुरे+, कुमार, आई.ए.एस (ओ. आर. 1993) को उनके काय भार -हण करने क तारीख से
आगामी आदेश तक के िलए उड़ीसा रा य के मु1य िनवा चन अिधकारी के 2प म3 नािमत करता है।

#ी सुरे+, कुमार, उड़ीसा सरकार के अधीन सभी पद भार या कसी काय के पदभारो को त काल स4प द3गे या धारण
करना समा& कर द3गे, जो क वे ऐसा पद भार -हण करने से पहले धारण कर रहे थे।

#ी सुरे+, कुमार, मु1य िनवा चन अिधकारी, उड़ीसा के 2प म3 काय करते ए उड़ीसा सरकार के अधीन कसी भी
कार का कोई अित6र काय भार -हण नह8 कर3गे िसवाय इसके क उनको रा य सिचवालय म3 िनवा चन िवभाग के भारी,
सरकार के सिचव पदािभिहत कया जाएगा।

SECRETARIAT OF THE ELECTION COMMISSION OF INDIA
New Delhi, the 31st January, 2018
O.N. 12.— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representation of the
People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of Odisha hereby
nominates Shri Surendra Kumar, IAS, (OR:1993) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the State of Odisha with effect from
the date he takes over charge and until further orders vice Sh. D.N. Gupta, IAS.
2.
Shri Surendra Kumar shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of work under
the Government of Odisha, which he may be holding before such assumption of office.
3.
Shri Surendra Kumar while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Odisha shall not hold any additional
charge whatsoever under the Government of Odisha except that he should be designated Secretary to the Government in
charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.
