05400Y Ex Lt Cdr Deepak Kumar Rout, Indian Navy now TA-42999M Lt Deepak Kumar Rout has been granted
commission as an officer in the Territorial Army (Infantry) on 06 Nov 2015 in the rank of Lieutenant under the provision
given in Appendix VIII of TA Regulations 1948 (Revised Edition 1976). He is also granted 11 years, 01 month and 20 days
(wef 13.03.2003 to 03.05.2014) ante date seniority with effect from 16 Sep 2006 in the rank of Lieutenant for his former
service in the Indian Navy. By virtue of his ante date seniority, he is promoted as Major with effect from 06 Nov 2015. Also
the officer is promoted with notional seniority for pay and promotion in the rank of Captain with effect from 16 Sep 2010 and
Major with effect from 16 Sep 2014 under the provisions of Para 25 (a) & 38 (a) of TA Regulations 1948 (Revised Edition
1976) as amended vide Government of India, Ministry of Defence letter No 18(1)2006/D(GS-1) dated 18 Apr 06 consequent
to recommendations of AVSC Committee report for increments of pay and promotion purpose.
