09.12.2019 के प% के माlयम से बताया है >क तेलंगाना और आंm देश राnय म, लगभग समान नाम` के साथ अनेक संEथाए हo जो

No. F.9-3/2017-U3 (A)—Whereas, the Central Government is empowered under Section 3 of the University Grants

Commission (UGC) Act, 1956 to declare, on the advice of the UGC, an Institution of higher learning as an Institution

Deemed to be University.

2. And whereas, on the advice of UGC, the Central Government issued Notification No. 9-3/2017-U.3(A) dated

29.11.2019, in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956, declaring Chaitanya Degree College

(Autonomous), Hanamkonda, Warangal, Telangana as an Institution Deemed to be University in the name of 'Chaitanya

Institute of Science & Technology', Warangal, Telangana under general category for a provisional period of five years with

prospective date.

3. Whereas, Vishwa Bharati Education Society, Warangal which is Sponsoring Society of the Deemed to be

University, vide its letter dated 09.12.2019 has submitted that there are many Institutions with almost similar names in the

State of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh, which might lead confusion in the minds of people. Accordingly, it has been requested

to change the name of the Deemed University from 'Chaitanya Institute of Science & Technology (Deemed University)' to

'Chaitanya (Deemed University)'.

4. And whereas, with the approval of competent authority, the name of 'Chaitanya Institute of Science &

Technology (Deemed University)' may be changed to 'Chaitanya (Deemed University)' subject to the conditions that all terms

& conditions mentioned in this Ministry's Notification No.9-3/2017-U3(A) dated 29.11.2019 shall continue to be adhered by

the Institution.
