S.O. 354.—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number

S. O. 1075, dated the 18^th December, 2020 issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas

(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in

the Gazette of India, part II, section 3, sub-section (ii) dated the 19^th December, 2020, the Central Government

gave notice of its intention to acquire all rights in or over the lands measuring 397.083 hectares (approximately)

or 981.192 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification ;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to

the Central Government;

And whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting to the

Government of Madhya Pradesh, is satisfied that the lands measuring 397.083 hectares (approximately) or

981.192 acres (approximately) and all rights in or over such lands as described in the Schedule appended hereto,

should be acquired;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Coal Bearing

Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957), the Central Government hereby declares that all

rights in or over the such land measuring 397.083 hectares (approximately) or 981.192 acres (approximately)) as

described in the Schedule are hereby acquired.

The plan bearing number C-I(E)III/GR/0121/967, dated the 29^thJanuary, 2021 of the area covered by

this notification, may be inspected in the office of the Collector, District Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh) or in

the office of the Coal Controller, 1, Council House Street, Kolkata -700 001 or in the office of the Head of

S.O. 355.—Whereas by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Coal number

S.O. 847, dated the 25^th September, 2020 issued under sub-section (1) of section 7 of the Coal Bearing Areas

(Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957 (20 of 1957) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) and published in

the Gazette of India, part II, section 3, sub-section (ii), dated the 26^th September, 2020 the Central Government

gave notice of its intention to acquire rights in and over the lands measuring 654.618 hectares (approximately)

or 1617.56 acres (approximately) in the locality specified in the Schedule annexed to that notification ;

And whereas, the competent authority in pursuance of section 8 of the said Act, has made his report to

the Central Government;

And whereas, the Central Government after considering the report aforesaid and after consulting to the

Government of Madhya Pradesh, is satisfied that the lands measuring 654.618 hectares (approximately) or

1617.56 acres (approximately) and rights in and over such lands as described in the Schedule appended hereto,

should be acquired;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 9 of the Coal Bearing

Areas (Acquisition and Development) Act, 1957, (20 of 1957) the Central Government hereby declares that

Department/Chief Manager, Western Coalfields Limited, Revenue Department, Coal Estate, Civil Lines,

Nagpur – 440 001, Maharashtra.
