Merger of Locust Control Division and IPM Division

No. 12054/03/2021-PP.I—The President is please to merge Divisions of Locust Control and Integrated Pest

Management under Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Faridabad as single entity and Additional Plant

Protection Advisor(IPM) would be supervisory and administrative control for implementing IPM & Locust control by:

(i)

establishing Regional Centre for Western Regional headquarter at Jodhpur and called Regional Locust-cum-

IPM Centre(RLCIPMC). The mandate of the centre will be locust control in addition to implementing IPM in

States of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

(ii) merging of Locust Control Office (LCO) and Field Stations for Investigation on Locust(FSIL) at Bikaner as

single establishment as Locust & IPM Research Central(L&IPMRC)

(iii) renaming of existing CIPMCs at Sriganganagar, Jaipur & Baroda as Locust-cum-IPM Central and

(iv) renaming of all Locust Control Offices as LCIPMC.
