1. (1) इन जन मों का संजक्षप्त नाम रक्षा मंत्राल , सामान् ररिवग इंिीजन र बल (सीमा सड़क संग न), समूि 'ग'

New Delhi, the 31st August, 2022

S.R.O. 51.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution, the

President hereby makes the following rules to amend the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Border

Roads Development Board, General Reserve Engineer Force (Border Roads Organisation), Group ‘C’ Posts,

Recruitment Rules, 2012, namely.-

(1) These rules may be called the Ministry of Defence, General Reserve Engineer Force (Border Roads

Organisation), Group ‘C’ posts, Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2022.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Border Roads Development Board, General Reserve

Engineer Force (Border Roads Organisation), Group ‘C’ posts, Recruitment Rules, 2012, (herein after referred

to as the said rules) for rule 3, the following rule shall be substituted, namely :-

“3. Number of posts, classification and Level in pay matrix .- The number of posts, their

classification and the Level in the pay matrix attached thereto, shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the

Schedule annexed to these rules”

In the said rules , in the Schedule,

(i) against serial number 4, relating to the post of Leading Hand (Administration), in column (4), for

the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and entries shall be

substituted, namely.-

“Level in pay matrix

Level – 2 in the pay matrix (Rs.19900 - 63200).” ;

(ii) against serial number 16, relating to the post of Driver Mechanical Transport Grade-I, in column

(4), for the column heading and the entries relating thereto, the following column heading and entries

shall be substituted, namely.-

These rules may be called the Military Engineer Services, Multi Tasking Staff (Group ‘C’

posts) Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2022.

They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

In the Schedule of the Military Engineer Services, Multi Tasking Staff (Group ‘C’ Post) Recruitment

Rules 2021, in column (9), the following Note shall be inserted, namely:-

“Note: Successful completion of mandatory induction training of atleast two weeks duration in the

Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Integrated Headquarters Ministry

of Defence (Navy) Group ‘C’, Non-Industrial (Miscellaneous Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2022.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

Number of posts, classification and level in the pay matrix.- The number of the posts, their

classification and level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the said

Schedule.

Method of recruitment, age limit, other qualifications, etc.- The method of recruitment, age limit,

qualifications and other matters relating to the said posts shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said

Schedule.

Disqualification.- No person, -

(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or

(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,

shall be eligible for appointment to the said posts:

Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the

personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for

so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.

Power to relax.- Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so

to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, relax any of the provisions of these rules with

respect to any class or category of persons.

Saving.- Nothing in these rules shall affect reservations, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions

required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes,

Ex-servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central

Government from time to time in this regard.
