vk-v- 49.—लोक प्रजतजनजित्व अजिजनयम, 1950 (1950 का 43) की िारा 13-क की उप-िारा (1) द्वारा प्रित्त

िजियों का प्रयोग करते हुए भारत जनवााचन आयोग उत्तराखण्ड राज्य सरकार के परामिा से एतद्द्वारा, श्री वी. षणमुगम,

आई.ए.एस. के स्ट्थान पर श्री बी.वी.आर.सी. पुरूषोत्तम, आई.ए.एस. (यू.के.डी.:2004) को उनके कायाभार ग्रिण करने की

तारीख से आगामी आिेिों तक के जलए उत्तराखण्ड राज्य के मुख्य जनवााचन अजिकारी के रूप में नाजमत करता िै।

2. श्री बी.वी.आर.सी. पुरूषोत्तम, उत्तराखण्ड सरकार के अिीन सभी पिभार या दकसी काया के पिभारों को

तत्काल सौंप िेंगे या िारण करना समाप्त कर िेंगे, िो दक वे ऐसा पिभार ग्रिण करने से पिले िारण कर रिे थे।

3. श्री बी.वी.आर.सी. पुरूषोत्तम, मुख्य जनवााचन अजिकारी, उत्तराखण्ड के रूप में काया करते हुए उत्तराखण्ड

सरकार के अिीन दकसी भी प्रकार का कोई अजतररि कायाभार ग्रिण निीं करेंगे जसवाय इसके दक उनको राज्य

सजचवालय में जनवााचन जवभाग के प्रभारी, सरकार के सजचव पिाजभजित दकया िाएगा।

NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 31st January, 2024

O.N. 49.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 13A of the Representation of

the People Act, 1950 (43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India in consultation with the Government of

Uttarakhand hereby designates Shri B.V.R.C Purushottam, IAS, (UKD:2004) as the Chief Electoral Officer for the

State of Uttarakhand with effect from the date he takes over charge and until further orders in place of Shri V.

Shanmugam, IAS.

2. Shri B.V.R.C Purushottam, shall cease to hold and hand over forthwith the charge of all or any charges of

work under the Government of Uttarakhand, which he may be holding before such assumption of office.

3. Shri B.V.R.C Purushottam, while functioning as the Chief Electoral Officer, Uttarakhand shall not hold any

additional charge whatsoever under the Government of Uttarakhand except that he should be designated

Secretary to the Government in charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.
