सां. 9-6/2024-यू.3(ए)—दिनाांक 03-09 मई, 2025 के भारत के राजपत्र, साप्ताशिक, भाग-I, खांड-1 में प्रकाशित शिक्षा

मांत्रालय के दिनाांक 22.04.2025 की समसांख्यक अशिसूचना शजसके द्वारा सत्यजीत रे दिल्म और टेलीशिजन सांस्थान

(एसआरएिटीआई), पूिी मिानगर बाईपास, पांचसायर, कोलकाता, पशिम बांगाल को यूजीसी अशिशनयम, 1956 की िारा 3 के

तित शिशिष्ट श्रेणी के अांतगगत सम शिश्वशिद्यालय सांस्थान के रूप में घोशित दकया गया था।

2. और इसके अशतररक् त जबदक, एसआरएफटीआई के प्रिासशनक मंत्रालय और कुलपशि, एसआरएफटीआई ने बताया कक

एसआरएफटीआई के ईटानगर पररसर (अरुणाचल प्रदेि) को अशधसूचना में िाशमल नहीं ककया गया है, जबकक यूजीसी शििेषज्ञ

सशमशि द्वारा इसका शनरीक्षण ककया गया था।

3. और जबदक, मामले को जाांच और सलाि के शलए यूजीसी को भेजा गया था। इसके प्रत् युत् तर में, यूजीसी ने

कदनांक 17.12.2025 के अपने पत्र के माध्यम से सूशचि ककया कक कफल्म और टेलीशिजन संस्थान, ईटानगर पररसर को

एसआरएफटीआई की एक घटक इकाई के रूप में माना जा सकिा है।

4. अत: अब, यूजीसी अशधशनयम, 1956 की धारा 3 के िहि प्रदत्त िशियों का प्रयोग करिे हुए, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, एति

द्वारा यूजीसी की सलाह पर, इस सीमा िक उि अशधसूचना में संिोधन करिा है कक शनम्नशलशिि को उसके पैरा 5 में िाशमल ककया

जाएगा:

‘‘सत्यजीि रे कफल्म एिां टेलीशिजन सांस् थान (एसआरएफटीआई), पशिम बंगाल के ईटानगर पररसर (अरुणाचल प्रदेि) को

सत्यजीि रे कफल्म एिां टेलीशिजन सांस् थान (एसआरएफटीआई), सम शिश् िशिद्यालय पशिम बंगाल की एक घटक इकाई के रूप में

माना जाएगा।’’

5. पूिोि को छोड़कर, कदनांक 22.04.2025 की समसंख्या की अशधसूचना में शनशहि अन्य सभी शनयम और ििें

अपररिर्िि और लागू रहेंगी।

Amendment

No. 9-6/2024-U.3(A)—Ministry of Education’s Notification of even number dated 22.04.2025 published in the

Gazette of India, Weekly, Part-I, Section-1 dated 03-09 May, 2025 whereby Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI),

Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, Panchasayar, Kolkata, West Bengal was declared as an Institution Deemed to be University

under distinct category under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.

2. And further whereas, the administrative Ministry of SRFTI and Vice-Chancellor, SRFTI submitted that Itanagar

Campus (Arunachal Pradesh) of SRFTI has not been included in the Notification whereas the same was inspected by the UGC

Expert Committee.

3. And whereas, the matter was referred to UGC for examination and advice. In response, UGC, vide its letter dated

17.12.2025, informed that the Film and Television Institute, Itanagar Campus may be considered as a constituent unit of SRFTI.

4. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, the Ministry of

Education, on the advice of the UGC, hereby amends the said Notification to the extent that the following shall be inserted in

paragraph 5 thereof:

“The Itanagar Campus (Arunachal Pradesh) of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), West Bengal shall

be treated as a constituent unit of Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Deemed to be University, West Bengal.”

5. Save as aforesaid, all other terms and conditions contained in the Notification of even number dated 22.04.2025

shall remain unchanged and in force.
