हुए, जिन् िें ऐसे अजिक्रमण से पिले दकया गया िै या करने का लोप दकया गया िै, भारतीय मानवजवज्ञान सवेक्षण, संस्ट् कृजत
मंत्रालय में कजनष् ठ अनुवाि अजिकारी के पि की भती की पद्धजत का जवजनयमन करने के जलए जनम् नजलजखत जनयम बनाते
िैं, अथाात् :-

संजक्षप् त नाम और प्रारंभ. – (1) इन जनयमों का संजक्षप्त नाम संस्ट् कृजत मंत्रालय, भारतीय मानवजवज्ञान सवेक्षण में
कजनष् ठ अनुवाि अजिकारी (समूि 'ख' पि) भती जनयम, 2026 िै।

पि-संख् या, वगीकरण तथा वेतन मैट्ररक् स में स्ट् तर.- उक् त पि की संख् या, उनका वगीकरण और उनसे संबद्ध वेतन
मैट्ररक् स में स्ट् तर वे िोंगे, िो इन जनयमों से उपाबद्ध अनुसूची के कॉलम (2) से कॉलम (4) में जवजनर्िाष्ट िैं।

भती की पद्धजत, आयु-सीमा और अिाताएं, आदि - भती की पद्धजत, आयु-सीमा, अिाताएं और उक् त पि से संबंजित
अन्य बातें वे िोंगी िो उक् त अनुसूची के कॉलम (5) से (13) में जवजनर्िाष्ट िैं।
4.
जनरिाता.- वि व्यजि, -
(क)
जिसने ऐसे व्यजि से जिसका पजत या जिसकी पत् नी िीजवत िै, जववाि दकया िै या जववाि की संजविा की
िै; या
(ख)
जिसने अपने पजत या अपनी पत् नी के िीजवत रिते हुए दकसी अन् य व्यजि से जववाि दकया िै या जववाि
की संजविा की िै,
उि पि पर जनयुजि का पात्र निीं िोगा :
परन् तु, यदि केन् द्रीय सरकार का यि समािान िो िाता िै दक ऐसा जववाि ऐसे व्यजि और जववाि के
अन्य पक्षकार पर लागू स्ट्वीय जवजि के अिीन अनुज्ञेय िै और ऐसा करने के जलए अन्य आिार िैं तो वि दकसी
व्यजि को इस जनयम के प्रवतान से छूट िे सकेगी।
5.
जिजथल करने की िजि.- ििां केन् द्रीय सरकार की यि राय िै दक ऐसा करना आवश्यक या समीचीन िै, विां वि
उसके जलए िो कारण िैं उन्िें लेखबद्ध करके तथा संघ लोक सेवा आयोग के परामिा से इन जनयमों के दकसी
उपबंि को दकसी वगा या प्रवगा के व्यजियों की बाबत, आिेि द्वारा जिजथल कर सकेगी।
6. व्यावृजि.- इन जनयमों की कोई बात, ऐसे आरक्षण, आयु-सीमा में छूट और अन्य ट्ररयायतों पर प्रभाव निीं डालेगी,
जिनका केन्द्रीय सरकार द्वारा इस संबंि में समय-समय पर जनकाले गए आिेिों के अनुसार अनुसूजचत िाजतयों, अनुसूजचत
िनिाजतयों, भूतपूवा सैजनकों और अन्य जविेष प्रवगा के व्यजियों के जलए उपबंि करना अपेजक्षत िै।

(ख) जिन् िी से अंग्रेिी में और अंग्रेिी से जिन् िी में अनुवाि में जडप् लोमा या
प्रमाणपत्र पाठ्यक्रम या भारत सरकार के उपक्रमों सजित केन् द्र या राज् य सरकार
और संघ राज् य क्षेत्र के कायाालय में जिन् िी से अंग्रेिी में और अंग्रेिी से जिन् िी में
अनुवाि काया करने का िो वषा का अनुभव।
ट्रटप् पण 1 - अिाताएं, अन् यथा सुयोग् य अभ् यर्थायों की ििा में कारणों को लेखबद्ध
करते हुए, कमाचारी चयन आयोग या सक्षम प्राजिकारी के जववेकानुसार जिजथल
की िा सकती िैं।
ट्रटप् पणी 2: अनुभव संबिी अिाताएं, उन कारणों के जलए, िो लेखबद्ध दकए
िाएं, कमाचारी चयन आयोग या सक्षम प्राजिकारी के जववेकानुसार अनुसूजचत
िाजतयों या अनुसूजचत िनिाजतयों के अभ् यर्थायों के मामले में तब जिजथल की
िा सकती िैं, िब चयन के दकसी प्रक्रम पर कमाचारी चयन आयोग या सक्षम
प्राजिकारी की यि राय िो दक उनके जलए आरजक्षत ट्ररजियों को भरने के जलए
उन समुिायों के अपेजक्षत अनुभव रखने वाले अभ् यर्थायों के पयााप् त संख् या में
उपलब् ि िोने की सम् भावना निीं िै।

(ii) जिन् िोंने मूल काडर या जवभाग
में वेतन मैट्ररक् स के स्ट् तर-5 में
(29200-92300/-
रुपए)
या
समतुल् य पि पर जनयजमत आिार
पर पि पर अपनी जनयुजि के
पश् चात् छ: वषा सेवा की िो; और
(ख) िो स्ट् तंभ (7) के अिीन सीिी
भती के जलए जवजित अिाताएं एवं
काया अनुभव रखते िों।

NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 27th August, 2026
G.S.R. 159.—In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution and in
supersession of the Anthropological Survey of India (Hindi Translator) Recruitment Rules, 1989, except as respects
things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the President hereby makes the following rules regulating
the method of recruitment to the post of Junior Translation Officer in the Anthropological Survey of India, Ministry
of Culture, namely: -
1.
Short title and commencement.– (1)
These rules may be called the Ministry of Culture,
Anthropological Survey of India, Junior Translation Officer (Group ‘B’ Post) Recruitment Rules, 2026.
(2)
They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2.
Number of post, classification and level in pay matrix.– The number of the said post, its classification and
level in the pay matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to
these rules.
3.
Method of recruitment, age-limit, qualifications, etc.– The method of recruitment, age-limit,
qualifications and other matters relating to the said post shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the
said Schedule.
4.
Disqualification.– No person, -
(a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with a person having a spouse living; or
(b) who, having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted a marriage with any person,
shall be eligible for appointment to the said post:
Provided that the Central Government may, if satisfied that such marriage is permissible under the
personal law applicable to such person and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds
for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this rule.

5.
Power to relax.– Where the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do,
it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing and in consultation with the Union Public Service
Commission, relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.
6.
Saving.– Nothing in these rules shall affect reservation, relaxation of age-limit and other concessions
required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, other backward classes, ex-
servicemen and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Central
Government from time to time in this regard.

as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a

elective subject at degree level; and
(b) recognised diploma or certificate course in translation
from Hindi to English and vice versa or two years’
