In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the

Constitution of India, the Governor of Chhaffisgarh, hereby, makes the following further amendment in the

Chhattisgarh State Finance Service (Gazetted) Rules, 2013 with retrospective effect from lst Jarutary,2A75,

namely:-

AMENDMENT

ln the said rules,-

l.

Sub-clause (f) of clause (I) of rule 8 shall be omitted.

2.

For rule 20,the following shall be substituted, namely :-

"20. Probation.- Every person appointed in service, through direct recruitment or by promotion, shall be

appointed on probation/scrutiny for a period of two years."

3.

In rule 21,-

(a)

After sub-clause (1) of clause (A), the following note shall be inserted, namely:-

"Note- Method of computation for eligibility for promotion.- The calculation of the period of

qualifring service of a member on the I't January of the relevant year in which

Departmental Promotion Committee/Scrutiny Committee is convened, shall be

counted from the calendar year in which the member of State Finance Service cadre

has ^joined the junior scale of pay and not from the actual date ofjoining of the cadre."

(b)

After sub-clause (l) of clause (B), the following note shall be inserted, namely :-

"Note- Method of computation eligibility for promotion. - The calculation of the period of

qualifying service of a member on the l't January of the relevant year in which

Departmental Promotion Committee/Scrutiny Committee is convened, shall be

counted from the calendar year in which the member of State Finance Service cadre

hasjoined the senior scale ofpay and not from the actual date ofjoining ofthe cadre""

(c)

After sub-clause (l) of clause (c), the following note shall be inserted, namely:-

"Note- Method of computation for eligibility for promotion. - The calculation of the period of"

qualifuing service of a member on.the l't January of the relevant year in which

Departmental Promotion Committee/Scrutiny Committee is convened, shall be

counted from the calendar year in which the member of State Finance Service cadre

has ^joined the selection scale of pay and not.from the actual date ofjoining of the

cadre."
