In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (l) of Section 3 of the

Prevention of lllicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (No. 46 of 1988), the State

Government, hereby, appoints all Divisional Commissioners as DetainingAuthority and specially empowers them for

the purposes of said Section within their respective ^{jurisdiction.}
