NOTIFICATION

No. F-5-03/VllllTrans.l20l8. -

The following further draft to amend the Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicles

Ruies, 1994, which the State Government propose to make in exercise of the powers conferred by section 65 of

the Motor Vehicles Act,1988 (No. 59 of 1988), is hereby, published as required by sub-section(1) of section 212

of the said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the

said draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry often days from the date ofpublication ofthis notice

in the OfficialGazette;

Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person, before the

specified period, during office hours by the office of the Transport Commissioner, Government of Chhattisgarh,

Department of Transport, Thfud Floor, C-Block, Indrawati Bhawan, Naya Raipur shall be considered by the

Government of Chhattisgarh.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

For rule 163-A, the following shall be substituted, namely :-

"163-A. Doors in public service vehicle - There shall be two doors for the entrance and exit of

passengers in every public service vehicle other than Motor cab, maxi cab, public service

vehicle having wheel base 136-160 inches (3454-4064 mm) or less or where the body is

constructed by vehicle manufacturer which has been approved by the Central Government

under rule 126 of the Central Motor Rules, 1989."
