NOTIFICATION
No.F4-20l2016/18. - In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 86 read with sub-section (2) of
Section 355 of the Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961 (No.37 of 196l), the State Government makes the
following firther amendments in Chhattisgarh State Municipal (Executive/ Engineering/Health) Services,
Recruitment and Conditions of Service Rules, 2017, namely :-

AMENDMENT
In the said rules,-
l.
In rule 6,-
(D
in sub-rule(l), after clause (c), the following shall be added, namely:-
"(d) by absorption from other Government services."
(iD
in sub-rule (4), after the words, "he may", the punctuation comma and words ",with
approval of the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission," shall be inserted.
2.
In rule 8, in clause (I),-
(a)
in sub-clause (e), in explanation,-
(i)
in para (v), for the words "six months", the words "one year" shall be
substituted; and
(ii)
in para (viii), after the word "etc.", the words "but is fit for Civil Services "
shall be inserted.
(b)
in sub-clause CI), after the words "shall not exceed" and before the figure and word
"45 yeaxs", the figure and words "40 years for men and for women" shall be inserted.

In rule 9, -
(a)
in sub-rule (4), after the words "if the Appointing Authority", the words "with the
consultation of the Commission" shall be inserted; and
(b)
sub-rule (7) shall be omitted.

In rule I l, in sub-rule (1), after the words "shall be conducted", the punctuation and words ",
taking into consideration the number of vacant posts," shall be inserted.

In rule 12,-
(a)
in sub-rule (3), for the words " is suitable in all respects ", the words "having
qualification in all respects is suitable" shall be substituted;
(b)
for sub-rule (8), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
"(8)
The validity period of the selection list prepared by the Commission shall be
deemed to be in accordance with the procedural rules of the Commission."
(c)
Sub-rule (9) and (10) shall be omitted.
6.
In rule 18, in sub-rule (4), after the words "3 lst December", the words "or three months" shall
be inserted.
7.
In rule 28, in explanation,-
(1)
clause (four) shall be omitted; and
(2)
clause (five) shall be re-numbered as clause (four).
8.
In rule 30, in sub-rule (8), in clause (c), after the word "inquiry", the words, "which shall
includes examination, cross examination and re-examination" shall be inserted.
9.
In rule 37, in heading, for the word "Form", the word "Format" shall be substituted.
10.
In Schedule-IV, in column (a) of serial number 4, the following entry shall be inserted,
namely:-
