No.1825/Fl-2l2}l8l13lllED.- Whereas, the Chhattisgarh State Electricity ^{Regulatory Commission}

consisting of two members including Chairperson was constituted ^vide this ^{department's Notification No.}

4321P.-352103, Raipur dated I ltti May, 2004 under Section 82 of ^{the Electricity Act, 2003} Qrlo. ^{36 of 2003);}

And Whereas, as per the directions ^given in ^{para I 14 of the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Civil}

Appeal Nos. 14697, 13451 of 2015 State of Gujarat and ^{Others Vs.} Utility ^{Users' Welfare Association and}

Others, it is mandatory that there should be a ^{person of law as a member of the said Commission;}

Now Therefore, in compliance of the said direction ^dated l2th April,2018 ^{of the Hon'ble Supreme}

Court of India and in exercise of the powers conferred ^{by Section 82 of the said Act, the State Government,}

hereby, reconstitutes the said Chhattisgarh State Electricity ^{Regulatory Commission as a three member}

Commission including Chairperson, amongst whom one ^member shall ^{be a person of law, who is, or has been}

holding a ^judicial office or is a person possessing ^{professional qualifications} with ^{substantial experience in}

the practice of law, who has the requisite ^{qualifications} to ^{have been appointed as a Judge of High Court or a}

District Judge.

This notification shall come into force from the date of its ^publication in the Official ^Gazette"
