No. F 5-O4/VmlTraas.l2013 .- Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-

section (1) of Section 67 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (No. 59 of 1988) and in supersession of this

Department Notification Number F 5-4lVIII-Trans.l20l3, dated 27 July, 2015, the State Government,

hereby, issues the following further directions to State Transport Authority and Regional Transport

Authority regarding fixation of the fares with etTect from the date of its publicatiorr in the Official

Gazette for stage carriages other than city services,

For Volvo, Scania, Mercedes etc., Super Luxury Air-Conditioned Services, -

passenger, per kilometer part thereof and for

sleeper (Berth) Rs. 02.25 per passenger, per

kilometer.

Note :- 1. For the total amount of fare calculated as per above, any amount exceeding fifty

paise shall be rounded off to the next higher rupee, and for any amount less than

fifty paise shall be ignored.

2. Night bus service means a service ordinarily running sunset to sunrise and which is

running at least a distance of 200 km one way.

3. The type of Service such as "Night Service", "Air- Conditioned", "sleeper Coach"

and "Semi-Sleeper Coach" shall be entered in registration certificate and shall be

rnentioned in the permit and fare shall be calculated as per the type of service.

The above direction shall be subject to the conditions mentioned in the Schedule below :-

SCHEDULE

The below mentioned persons along with attendant shall be exempted from fare,

namely:-

(a) Persons with blindness,

(b) Mentally retarded,

(c) Persons with disability by both the legs,

(d) Senior citizens whose age is eighty years and above,

(e) Patients suffering from HIV (AIDS).

(a)

For person with disability by both legs mentioned in serial number (1)(c), a

certificate u,ith photograph issued by the officers of Panchayat and Social

Welfare Department or officer of Government Hospital.

For Patients suffering from HIV/AIDS, (Immune suppress) a certificate u'ith

photograph issued by the Chief Medical Officer of the District or Officers of

the Chhattisgarh State AIDS Control Society, Raipur, ART Centers, or

Cancer Hospitals, shall be acceptable and such certificate shall be presented

by the person with disability during the journey to the conductor/driver of the

passenger bus"

Any person being a resident of Chhattisgarh State, on production of a

certificate of "Naxal Affected Person" duly issued by the Collector on the

recommendation of the Superintendent of Police of the concerned District

while travelling by passenger bus within the State, shall be exempted from

paying 50% of the fare.

In case of breach of any conditions mentioned in serial number (1) to (3)

mentioned above action shall be talien against permit holder under Section 86

and against the conductor under Section 34 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988

(1llo.59 of 1988), respectively.
