NOTIFICATION

No. F-5-06/VIII/Trans./2018. -

The following draft of further amendment in the Chhattisgarh

Motor Vehicles Rules, 1994, which the State Government, In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 65

of the Motor Vehicles Act,l988 (No. 59 of 1988), prupose to make, is hereby, published as required by

sub-section (l) of Section 21,2 of the said Act, for the information of all persons tikely to be affected thereby

and notice is hereby given that the said draft shall be taken into consideration on the expiry offifteen days

from the date of publications of this notifications in the OfficialGazette.

Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person, before the specified

period, in office hours in the office of the Transport Commissioner, Third Floor, C-Block, Indrawati Bhawan,

Naya Raipur, shall be considered by the Government of Chhattisgarh.

AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

In rule 76-A, after sub-rule (9), the following shall be inserted, namely :-

*(9-A) That the permit holder shall install in the stage carriage, arrangements which include

ramp, footboard, proper stairs etc., for easily accessible boarding and de-boarding of

persons with disability:

Provided that for the stage carriages which have already obtained permits, a period

of 90 days from the date of coming into force of this sub-rule is granted, to establish such

arrangements."
