the Legislative Assemblies of Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, ^{Rajasthan. Mizoram} & ^{Telangana has been announced}

by the Commission vide Press Note No .F.CI1PN161l2018 ^{dated 6th Octobeq 2018.}

Whereas, as per the schedule so announced by the Commission, poll for the election in ^{Chhattisgarh is}

scheduled to be taken on l2- 1 1-2018 ^(Monday) & 20-11-2018 ^{(Tuesday), poll for the election in the States of Madhya}

Pradesh & Mizoram is to be taken on 28-11-2018 ^{(Wednesday), poll} fbr the election in the States of ^{Rajasthan &}

Telangana to be taken on 01-12-2018 (Friday) and;

Whereas, as per the provisions of Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, there shall be

restrictions on conduct ofany exit poll and publication and dissemination ofresult ofsuch exit poll during such ^period,

as may be notified by the Election Commission in this regard;

Now, therefore, in exercise ofthe powers under sub-section (l) ofSection l26,4' ofthe Representation ofthe

People Act, 195 l, the Election Commission, having regard to the ^provisions of sub-section ⁽²⁾ of the said ^{Section, hereby}

notifies the period between 7.00 A. M. on 12-l 1-2018 and 5.30 PM on 7-12-2018 as the ^period during which ^conducting

any exit poll and publishing or publicizing by means of the print or electronic media or dissemination in any other ^manner,

whatsoever, the result of any exit ^po1l in connection with the current General Elections to the Legislative ^Assemblies of

Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram & Telangana, amounced by the Commission vide ^{Press Note}

dated 06th Oct., 2018" shall be prohibited.

It is further clarified that under Section 126( I ) (b) of the R. P. Act, 195 ¹ , displaying any election matter including

results of any opinion poll or any other poll survey, in any electronic media, would be ^prohibited during the ^period of ⁴⁸

hours ending with the hour fixed for conclusion of poll in each of the ^phases in connection with the aforesaid General

elections. '
