NOTIFICATION

No./8367/F-l lll9/2018/14-2.-The following draft of amendment in Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi

(Mandi Samiti ka Nirvachan) Rules, 1997, which the State Government in exercise of the power conferred by

sub-section (2) of Section 79 of the Chhattisgarh Krishi Upaj Mandi Adhiniyam, 1972 (No. 24 of 1973),

proposes tomake,ishereby, published as required bysub-section(l)ofSectionTgofthesaidAdhiniyam

for the information ofall persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft

shall be taken into consideration after the expiry offifteen days from the date ofpublication ofthe notification

in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified

period, in office hours in office of the Additional Chief Secretary and Agriculture Production Commissioner,

Government of Chhattisgarh, Department of Agriculture, Room No. S 3-24, Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya,

Atal Nagar, Raipur, shall be considered by the Government of Chhattisgarh.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

l. In rule 2, after clause (e), the following shall be added, namely :-

"(ee) "Director" ^{means Director} of Agricultural Marketing or any other officer, appointed by the State

Govemment to exercise or perform such powers or functions of the Director of Agricultural Marketing

under the provisions of this Act or the rules made thereunder, as may be prescribed ;"

2. Clause (o) of rule 2 shall be omiued.

3. After rule 2, for the words "Managing Director", wherever its occurs, the words "Director" shall be

substituted.

4. In rule 85, for the words "fund of the State Agriculture Mandi Board", the words "Revolving Marketing

Development Fund" shall be substituted.
