NOTIFICAIION

No. F 1-2912017 132. -

Whereas, this department's Notification No. F l-2912017 132, dated 29th November,

2017, prohibited burning of fire crackers in the MunicipalArea of Raipur, Bilaspur, Bhilai, Durg, Raigarh and Korba from

I st December to 3 I st January of every yeaq under sub-section (5) of Section I 9 of the Air (Prevention and Control of

Pollution)Act, 1981 (No. 14 of 198 l);

And whereas, the State Govemment, after consultation with the Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation

Board, is of the opinion that under the Quality Monitoring Programme, as per the AAQMS's Report in the Municipal

Area Raipur the pollution is less than the prescribed parameters and the Air Quality Index generally is of the category of

"Good" and "Satisfactory";

Now Therefore, in exercise of power conferred under clause (a) of sub-section (2) of Section I 9 of the Air

(PreventionandControl of Pollution) Act, l98l (No. 14of 198 1),theStateGovemment,hereby,relaxestheabove

mentioned order for the purpose of buming of Firecrackers in the event of 24th All India Forest Sports Tournament, 20 19,

organized in Raipur situated Swami Vivekanand Stadium, Kota, for the event of Opening Ceremony dated 9th January

2019 and of Closing Ceremony dated 13th January,2019.
