NOTIFICATION

No.l9l4l722l22-l/2019. -

The following further draft amendment in the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Nirvachan

Niyam, 1995, which the State Government proposes to make, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section ( I ) of

Section 95 read with Section 43 ofthe Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993 (No. I of 1994), is hereby, published

as required by sub-section (3) of.Section 95 of the saidAct, for the information ofall persons likely to be affected thereby

and notice is hereby given that the said draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry offifteen days from the

date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestion regarding the said draft received from any person, before the specified period

during office hours by the office of the Deputy Secretary Department of Panchayat and Rural Development,

Govemment ofChhattisgarh, Room No. S-l-17, Mahanadi Bhawan, Mantralaya,Atal NagaE Raipur, shall be considered

by the Government of Chhattisgarh.

DRAFTAMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

In rule 39, for sub-rule (2),the following shall be substituted, namely :-

Any symbol allotted by the returning officer to any candidate shall be final, except in such case where

the order or guidelines issued by the commission in the regards differs, in such condition, in the case of election of

Panch and Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat the District Election Officer, in the case of election of member of Janpad

Panchayat the division commission and in case of election of member of ZilaPanchayat the State Election Commission

may review for allotment of symbol in such manner as they deemed fit."
