NOTIFICATION

No. F 10-55/2009/l-5.-In exercise ofthe power conferred by rule l0 ofthe Chhattisgarh State Local Election

Ex-Gratia Compensation Payment for Officials/employees died or injured during Electioneering Duty Rules, 2009,the

State Government, hereby, makes the following further amendment in the said rules, namely :-

AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

For clause (a) and (b) ofrule 4, the following shall be substituted namely :-

"(a)

In case of death of officers/employees Ex-Gratia Compensation payment shall be of Rs. 15,00,000

(Fifteen Lac Rupees) which will be paid to the family members of the deceased. The compensation

amount shall be Rs. 30,00,000 (Thirty Lac Rupees) if death is caused due to Naxalite violence or

violence of similar nature and will be paid to the family members ofthe deceased.

if permanent disability is caused due to any accident to the offrcers/employees engaged in election

duty an amount of Rs. 7,50,000 (Seven Lac Fifty Thousand Rupees) shall be paid as ex-gratia

compensation payment. If permanent disability is caused due to Naxalite Violence or incident of

similar nature an amount ofRs. I 5,00,000 (Fifteen Lac Rupees) shall be paid to the offrcer/employees

as ex-gratia compensation payment."
