TIrE CHHATTISGARH POLICE ^{(AMENDMENT)ACT,} 2019

An Act to further amend the Chhattisgarh Police Act,2007 ^(No. 13 of2007).

Be it enacted by the Ctrhattisgarh Legislature in the Seventieth Year of the Republic of

India, as follows :-

This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Police (Amendment)Act,2019. :l;i.r::t;.r1:u

It shall come into force from the date of its ^publication in the OfficialGazette.

Forsub-section(l)ofSection4l oftheChhattisgarhPoliceAct,200T (No. 13 ^{Amendment of}

of2007), (hereinafterreferredtoasthePrincipita.tl,thefollowingshallbe

section 41'

substituted, namely :-

'(l)

Thetermofofficeofamember, and the chairperson, shall be two

years and may be eligible for re-appointrnent for another term:

Provided that the chairperson shall continue to hold offtce

till his successor enters his office, or for further six months,

whichever is earlier."
