AnAct further to amend the Chhattisgarh Co-operative SocietiesAct, 1960 ^(No.

l7 ofl96l).

Be it enacted by the Chhattisgarh Legislature in the Seventy-First Year of the

Republic of India, as follows :-

l.

(l)

This Act may be called the Chhattisgarh Co-operative Societies Shorttitle,extent

(Amendment) 4ct,2020.

It extends to the whole State of Chhattisgarh.

It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official

Gazelte.

2.

IntheCtrhattisgarhCo-operativeSocietiesAct 1960(No.l7of 1961),for Section Amendmentof

16-A, the following shall be substituted, namely :-

Section 16-A.

*16-A. Any society may, enter into the collaboration with any Govemment

"

Undertaking, Cooperative Society or any Undertaking approved by

the State Government or a Private enterprise for carrying on any

specific business including industrial investment, financial aid or

marketing and management expertise :

Provided that any society may enter into such collaboration

by a resolution of the general body passed, at its general meeting by a

simple majority ofthe members present and voting :

Provided furtherthat in each case, the society has to take prior

permission in writing of the State Government before entering into such

collaboration:

Provided further also that the State Government may delegate

its above powers to any competent offtcer as required."

The Chhattisgarh Co-operative Societies (Amendment) Ordinance,2020 (No. I

Repeal

of2020) is hereby repealed.
