NOTIFICATION

No. F 10-64/2009/29-l(2).- The following draft amendment of the Chhattisgarh Ration Card Rules,

2016, which the State Government, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (-l) and clause (a) of sub-

section (2) of Section 40 of the National Food Security Act, 2013 6No. iO of 2013) .rud *ith sub-section (l)

and-clause (b) and (c) of sub-section (2) of Section 30 of the Chhattisgarh Food and Nutritional Security Act,

20.14 (No'5 of 2013), proposes to make, is hereby, published as required by sub-section (l) of Section 40 of the

said Act, for the information of all persons likely to be effected thereby and notice is heieby given that the said

draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of fifteen days from the date of p-rUtication of this

notification in the Official Gazette.

Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified

period, during office hours in the office of the Director, Directorate of Food, Civit Suppties and Consumer

Protection, C-Block, Block-2 Third Floor, Indrawati Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, r'tutt U. considered by

the Government of Chhattisgarh.

DRAFT AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

For rule 7, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"7.

Continuance of the existing ration cards.- All valid ration cards issued before the

commencement of these rules and in existence shall remain in force till they are cancelled

under this rules:

Provided that, during verification of ration card, or on submission of application by

the family for change in the name of family head, in case of death of head #the family,

change in the name of family head in ration card, shall be done by entering the name of other

. adult female member of the family by replacing the name of family head:

Provided further that, in case there is no adult female member in the family,, change

' in name of family head shall be made by entering the name of male head by replacing t[e

name of family head. In this type of male headed family, any female member on attairing tfue

age of 18 years, shall bethe family head and name of male head shall be substituted ty trer

name in ration card. This process, on the basis of death certificate of the head, miy be

automated through ration card database of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer protection

Department, Government of Chhattisgarh."
