NOTIFICATiON

No.Fl0-8/20lgll6.- ln exercise of the ^powers conferred by sub-section ⁽³⁾ of ^Section

19 and Section 1L2 of the Factories Act, 1948 ⁽⁶³ of ^{1948), the State Government, hereby,}

makes the following further amendment in the Chhattisgarh ^{Factories Rules, 1962,}

namely:-

AMENDMENT

In the said rules,-

For rule 46, t}'re following shall be substituted, namely:-

"46.Latrine accommodation.- L,atrine accommodation ^{shall be provided in every}

factory on the following scales:-

(a)

Where females are employed, there

every 25 female.

(b)

Where males are employed, there

every 25 males:

Provided that where the number of males exceeds 100, it

shall be sufficient if there is one latrine for every 25 males up to the

first 100 and one for every 50 thereafter.

In calculating the number of latrines required under this

rule, any odd number of workers less than 25 or 50, as the ^{case may}

be, shall be reckoned as 25 or 50.

(c)

Sanitary Napkins in adequate quantity conforming to ^Indian

Standards shall be provide and maintained in the ^{women's toilets for}

their use and the same-shall be replenished on daily basis.

(d)

Disposable bins with lids shall be ^provided within the ^women's

toilets for the collection of the used napkins. The used napkins ^shall

be disposed offas per the procedure approved by the Inspector.
