No. F 10-79/2020ICT(R)A/(03).- In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 10,74 and75 read

with clause Q6) of Section 2 of the Indian Stamp Act, 1899 (No.2 of 1899) and rules 57 of the Chhauisgarh

Stamp @ayment of Duty by Means of e-Stamp Certificate) Rules,2016, the State Government, hereby, makes

the following amendment in the Chhattisgarh Stamp (Payment of Duty by Means of e-Stamp Certificate) Rules,

2016, namely:-

AMENDMENT

[n t]re said rules,-

l. For clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 2, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"(i) "E-stamp" means a stamp printed or digitally generated, by electronic means to represent the

payment of stamp duty;"

2. After rule 21, the following paragraph shall be added, namely:-

"In case of digital E-Stamp for the application, applicant's digital signature/e-sign will be valid."

3. After sub-rule(3) of rule 23,Ihe following shall be added, namely:-

"(4) Insurance companies can be issued single E-stamp for more than one insurance policy in a

consolidated manner."

2. This notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in chhattisgarh Gazette.
